| SCHOOL CONCERTSMusical Folktales is ideal for ages four to twelve; Pre-K through 8th Grade. Most school presentations are 40-50 minutes in length, depending on students’ ages and your request. The educational integrity of The Storytellers’ in-school presentations is enhanced by their charming rapport. While the stories are quite entertaining, they are selected with great regard for their relevant themes and positive morals. All school presentations include full audience participation in a musical skit as well as portions of the selected stories. Also, 15-20 students are selected to perform on udu, berimbau, donno and other musical instruments during each performance. WORKSHOPSThe Storytellers offer storytelling and hands-on musical workshops for small groups of children; 25-35 students per session. Workshops can be 25-30 minutes in length. In the storytelling workshop, voice manipulation, vocal dynamics, poetry, character development (using different voices) and more are shared by the artists. FAMILY CONCERTSLibraries, festivals, museums, art galleries, community centers and even bookstores are ideal settings for The Storytellers’ Family Programs. From small intimate gatherings to groups of over 8,000 music lovers, The Storytellers have enchanted audiences in a variety of venues. For family presentations they have selected stories that emphasize love, safety, hard work, perseverance, honesty and other time-honored family values. FEES $ 450 - 650: One-Three presentations at a single site in the Great Lakes Area... $ 700 - 800: Four or more presentations, a single site in the Great Lakes Area. "Presentations" include all types of performances, workshops and/or assemblies. Fuel costs are not included in the above. We do not charge a mileage expense.
